Watchful Mountain Man (Bitterroot Ridge Bodyguards, Book 1)

Jaxon Mercer doesn’t do soft.

After twenty years as an Army Ranger and one mission that left him the sole survivor, he built Ridge Defense Group for one reason: control. Control the terrain. Control the threat. Control himself.

Then a woman walks into his fortified world—and suddenly every instinct he has is on high alert.
She doesn’t know she’s being watched.

She doesn’t know the danger circling her.

And she definitely doesn’t know the silver-haired mountain man tracking her every move is already willing to burn Bitterroot Ridge to the ground to keep her safe.

Jax has protected diplomats, generals, and high-value targets across the globe.

Protecting her is different.

Because the longer he watches… the harder it becomes to keep his hands to himself.
